The Datejust

Released to celebrate Rolex's 40th anniversary in 1945, the Rolex Datejust has become one of the Geneva giant's most emblematic watches. The world's first wristwatch to display the date via an aperture on the dial, the Datejust revolutionized wristwatch design for decades to come. With its iconic Cyclops crystal, jubilee bracelet (designed specifically for the model in 1945) and fluted precious metal bezel, the Datejust aesthetic has always been one of pure elegance and class. Perhaps one of Rolex's most recognizable designs, the Datejust has evolved from its dressier roots into a fully capable watch rivaling the ruggedness of most brands' sports watches. Featuring a stainless steel case with a screw-down crown and caseback, the Datejust boasts an impressive 100m water resistance along with its still capable movements and construction that have helped it become one of the most better equipped for everyday wear. Available with several different dial options, in a multitude of materials and in many styles, the Datejust is the unmistakable reflection of its owner, with a model to suit just about every taste and preference.

The Dial

One of the latest offerings from Rolex, this example has the beautiful green dial which features a beautiful sunburst pattern. The dial of this example displays a variety of green hues as it shimmers in the light alongside its fluted 18kt white gold bezel and Jubilee bracelet.

Construction
[[2 ]] Classic in size, the 36mm Datejust brings a familiar silhouette to the wrist that most watch collectors will recognize probably and with which they will be comfortable. Offered with a fluted bezel and Jubilee bracelet and measuring 36mm in diameter, this example is the epitome of what a Datejust should look like.

Condition

The watch is in new, unworn condition with the original box and papers.
Please note that the Rolex retailer incorrectly put the date in 2020 on the warranty card instead of 2022. The watch was purchased recently and the dial is completely original to the watch. This was an inadvertent error made by the retailer and not noticed at the time of purchase by the buyer.

Datejust
